Phos Window Expands Fort Payne, Alabama, Production Operations

03/31/2026
Window and door component systems manufacturer Phos Window plans to expand its operations in Fort Payne, Alabama. The $21 million project is expected to create 100 jobs in DeKalb County.

The investment will more than triple the size of the company’s existing vinyl window production facility.

“Phos Window’s decision to expand in Fort Payne demonstrates the competitive advantages Alabama’s manufacturing workforce brings to the table,” noted Ellen McNair, Alabama Secretary of Commerce. “Our workers possess the technical expertise and adaptability that modern manufacturers require. This project reflects both the innovative capacity of Alabama’s construction products sector and the skilled workforce that makes these advanced manufacturing operations possible.”

To support the project the Fort Payne City Council approved incentives.

“This investment reinforces DeKalb County as the proven place for business,” added Brett Johnson, Executive Director of the DeKalb County Economic Development Authority. “Companies like Phos Window continue to choose this region for our tri-state location, skilled workforce, and transportation advantages.”

Phos specializes in architectural hardware and lighting products, including window fittings, handrails, and interior components. The company produces stainless steel products for residential and commercial applications.
