Liqui-Box Expands Its Ashland, Ohio, Manufacturing Plant
12/04/2014
The company manufactures bag-in-box flexible packaging and pouches to serve a wide variety of industries, including global dairy, beverage and bulk food markets. Applications include fountain beverage syrup, milkshake mix, coffee drinks, pumpable liquid foods such as concentrates and sauces, as well as non-food products like oils and paints.
Earlier this year, Liqui-Box added new state-of-the-art bag equipment and built a Global Technical Center in Ashland, Ohio. The company will add 3 more bag-lines and 4 bottle lines and consolidate manufacturing from their Elkton, Maryland facility into Ashland. The capability and capacity expansion will generate more than 40 additional jobs at the site and will be completed in 2015.
Ken Swanson, Liqui-Box CEO, added "This expansion, along with the other recent investments made at our Center of Excellence in Ashland, supports our long term strategy to grow the business using the most advanced technology in combination with the proper infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of our customers."
