United Alloy Eyes Manufacturing Plant in Seguin, Texas
12/05/2019
United Alloy produces the highest quality leak-proof metal fuel tanks, reservoirs, skids, frames, chassis, trailers, heavy metal fabrications, and complex weldments for an extensive list of long-term, highly satisfied and most impressive, Fortune 500 OEM customers. United Alloy is ISO 9001 Certified and is also a recognized Woman/Minority Owned Business.
The project will represent a total capital investment of at least $35 million and will result in the creation of at least 100 new jobs over a three year period.
Tom Baer, United Alloy chairman said, “We made the decision to build our Texas plant in Seguin because of the successful track record of attracting Texas employees capable of building a world class organization."
According to the Seguin Economic Development Corporation, a local incentive package was considered and approved by the SEDC Board of Directors and the Seguin City Council. Components of the local incentive package include a land grant by the SEDC and a partial tax abatement by the City of Seguin.
In exchange for the local incentive package, United Alloy will commit to capital investment and job creation benchmarks. United Alloy expects to break ground on the project in early 2020, with operations commencing by the end of that year.
“We are delighted that United Alloy has decided to build their new manufacturing facility in Seguin, Texas. This project will help create excellent employment opportunities for our residents and help grow our economic base. We are proud that they have chosen to do business in the City of Seguin” said Seguin Mayor, Don Keil.
“Seguin’s strategic location, skilled workforce and pro-business government make us an attractive option for businesses looking to expand,” said Josh Schneuker, Executive Director of the Seguin Economic Development Corporation. “We are extremely excited to announce this project and look forward to a long and mutually-beneficial relationship with United Alloy.”
