Sun City Produce Establishes Operations Center In Piedmont, South Carolina

Sun Commodities, Inc., which operates as the Sun Group of Companies, is a privately-held organization majority-owned by Hillandale Farms. As a leading producer of fresh fruits and vegetables, the firm is aiming to expand its growing retail market across the Southeast in the coming years. To support this mission, Sun Commodities’ subsidiary, Sun City Produce is establishing distribution operations in Greenville County. Located, the is expected to generate 81 new jobs.
“We at Sun City Produce Company are very excited with the opportunity Greenville has provided us to expand our business. The bustling growth, as well as the economic stability and infrastructure, were the key factors in establishing our Southeastern distribution facility. Being new to the state, we are eager to partner with the Greenville Area Development Corporation to further strengthen the opportunities for our workforce, so we may achieve continuous growth,” said Sun City Produce Company Executive Vice President Kyle Cummings.

The 81 new jobs this investment will create will make a real difference in Greenville County, and we look forward to seeing Sun City thrive here for many years to come,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
