International Paper Expands Rankin County, Mississippi, Operations

The investment will include the construction of a new 468,000-square-foot sustainable packaging facility. Production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027.

International Paper serves a wide range of industries including e-commerce, food and beverage, and industrial manufacturing. The company’s operations include containerboard and corrugated packaging production, pulp manufacturing, and recycling systems.
"For years, Rankin First and our partners have strategically developed the East Metro Center to attract world-class companies, seeing a global leader like International Paper choose this site validates that vision,” noted Noel Daniels, Chairman, Rankin First Economic Development Authority. “This sophisticated operation doesn't just create and retain jobs, it solidifies Rankin County's position as the premier hub for industrial innovation in Mississippi and the Southeast."
