Inteplast Group Invests $15 Million To Expand Its Charlotte And Phoenix Manufacturing Centers
05/01/2015
According to the firm, AmTopp is investing $15 Million on two new, state-of-the-art, cast extrusion lines, to be fully operational by the end of 2015. This expansion will add an additional 60 million pounds of capacity and increase the overall AmTopp's capacity to 320 million pounds. AmTopp currently has four stretch film manufacturing locations.
With this additional capacity, Inteplast will be able to better utilize its facility in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as the newly acquired Phoenix, Arizona facility. The first extrusion line, scheduled for Charlotte, will be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2015, company officials reported. In addition to providing an increased production base for AmTopp films, it will support specifically the dramatic growth of the popular "APEX" series of films. The second of the two new lines will be installed in Phoenix two months later.
According to Homer Hsieh, President of Amtopp Division, "Our entire AmTopp team believes that this expansion will result in an improvement in how we service customers across North America. Our pre-stretch film product launched in 2014 has proved to be a great success, thanks to the dedication and perseverance of our entire manufacturing and sales team. It signifies our commitment to supporting growth. We are proud to offer a stretch film solution for every one of our customers' applications and this is our singular strength in the market."
AmTopp's stretch films include a variety of conventional and highly-engineered hand and machine films led by its "Loadstar" series. In the past 5 years, Inteplast Group's AmTopp division has doubled its stretch film capacity through major capital investments as well as the acquisition of Pinnacle Films. Its focus will continue to service customers with top-quality products, better logistics and lead-times.
