“Southern Current is excited to be working with Hampton County again. The economic development team has been a strong supporter of solar energy, and we are proud to have another opportunity to invest in the county. With the help of Hampton County, South Carolina is becoming a leader in renewable energy,” said Southern Current Chief Development Officer Paul Fleury.
“As solar power continues to spread across the Palmetto State we are excited to celebrate this newest investment in Hampton County by one of our oldest solar partners, Southern Current,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
“Investments like this one continue to grow South Carolina’s reputation as a top business destination for industries of all types. I’m proud to welcome Southern Current’s latest operation to Hampton County and celebrate, not only the economic opportunities, but the environmental opportunities this project will generate,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.
“Hampton County welcomes Southern Current’s project to our community, where we support innovation and technology to create the most efficient methods of producing energy to power our homes and businesses. We trust that Southern Current will be an asset to our local and regional economies,” Hampton County Council Chairman Clay Bishop said.
“Southern Current will be a welcome addition to our mix of alternative energies in our region. We look forward to working with our utility providers to provide a diverse array of energy generation to grow our business community,” Hampton County Economic Development Commission Chairman Bill Hager added.
