Roche Expands Indianapolis, Indiana, Production Operations
05/16/2025
The investment at the company’s North American Diagnostics headquarters will allow the site to become a hub for manufacturing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems for diabetes management.
"The challenges of diabetes are pervasive, with millions of Americans living with the constant vigilance and countless daily decisions the disease requires," said Brad Moore, President and CEO of Roche Diagnostics North America. "By expanding our manufacturing capabilities in Indianapolis, we ensure reliable access to innovative monitoring solutions for individuals living with diabetes in the U.S. and worldwide."
To support the project the City of Indianapolis will provide a 10-year property tax abatement valued at about $40 million. Additionally, the State of Indiana will extend an incentive package worth $20 million in tax credits.
“Beyond having grit and knowing how to make things, the one thing we also do extremely well here is we know how to build the workforce necessary to support yours and other organizations throughout this state,” noted State Secretary of Commerce David Adams.
Roche's core businesses are Roche Pharma, which develops and delivers medicines, and Roche Diagnostics, which provides diagnostics solutions and digital tools. The company currently operates 13 manufacturing sites and 15 R&D centers in the U.S.
