05/27/2010
"We do business all over the globe," said Lance Custen, president and CEO of HostGator. "Because Austin is such a hot market, we felt comfortable investing in property for our company's continued growth."
The company will occupy space in a 100,000-square-foot building. HostGator has headquarters in Houston and hosts three million Internet domain names, or approximately 2 percent of the world's Web traffic.
Brent Oxley, now the company's board chairman, founded HostGator as a college student at Florida Atlantic University. Inc. magazine rated it the fastest growing private company in Texas.
