Stanley Black & Decker Expands Mission, Texas, Production Operations

The company’s new manufacturing facility, located at the Mission Expressway Business Park, will support production of DEWALT power tools and include assembly and plastic injection molding operations.
“The opening of our third manufacturing facility in Texas augments our strategy of making where we sell, reinforcing our long-standing commitment to making in America and making in Texas,” said Jeff Ansell, President of Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Tools & Storage business. “We continue to strengthen and expand our U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities, and this expansion will enable further acceleration of our Made in the USA portfolio.”
Stanley Black & Decker manufactures tools, storage solutions, and industrial equipment for professional and consumer markets, supporting construction, manufacturing, and maintenance applications worldwide.
“The overall annual economic impact of the project will be about $24 million,” noted Teclo J. Garcia, CEO of the Mission Economic Development Corporation. “This investment reflects the company’s continued commitment to the Mission community and the broader Rio Grande Valley.”
