Janus Organization Plans Greenwood, Mississippi, Operations

10/03/2026
Gasifier manufacturer Janus Organization plans to establish operations in Greenwood, Mississippi. The $2.1 million project is expected to create 13 jobs.

The company’s new manufacturing facility, located at the Greenwood-Leflore Industrial Park, will produce gasifiers designed for the treatment of specialty waste streams, including medical, pharmaceutical and rubber tire feedstock.

“We are anxious and excited to work with the state of Mississippi, MDA and local officials to complete this state of the art manufacturing facility for our industry,” said Janus Organization Owner Lloyd Lipman.

To support the project, the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Greenwood and Leflore County are also supporting the project.

“Companies ready to invest need a location where they can move quickly from a decision to an operating facility. Mississippi has the workforce, available sites and business environment to make that happen. MDA is proud to support Janus as the company gets to work in Greenwood and establishes its manufacturing operation in the Delta,” noted Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director PJ Waldrop.

Janus Organization specializes in equipment used to process specialty waste streams, including medical, pharmaceutical, and rubber tire feedstock. The company specializes in the development and manufacturing of gasification systems that use high-temperature processing to reduce waste volume while producing minimal emissions.

“Janus Organization’s decision to locate in the Greenwood-Leflore Industrial Park underscores that Greenwood has the sites, the infrastructure and the workforce to support the manufacturing of specialized equipment. On behalf of Greenwood and Leflore County, we welcome Janus to our community and look forward to partnering with them as they position their company for long-term success here,” added Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Thomas Gregory.
