Hay Group Invests More Than $4.3 Million To Expand Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Headquarters
06/10/2014
The company committed to creating at least 65 new jobs at its solutions lab and technology hub for development and manufacturing of web-based applications, along with retaining 185 more positions over the next three years, the Governor’s Office said.
“Hay Group’s headquarters has been based in Philadelphia since 1943, and we are excited to continue building upon our rich history in the city,” said Hay Group CEO Stephen Kaye. “Our new space will be a progressive one in which we can continue developing solutions and technologies that will help our clients flawlessly implement their strategies and drive business results.”
“As our economy continues to flourish, companies are choosing Pennsylvania as the best place to grow their businesses and create family-sustaining jobs. Today we are proud to partner with Hay Group to add 65 new jobs in Philadelphia,” said Governor Tom Corbett. “It’s a testament to our improved business climate and tremendous pool of dedicated and talented workers who ready to tackle the jobs of today.”
As an incentive, the company received a funding proposal from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development including a $150,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant that facilitates investment and job creation and $130,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits. Hay Group has accepted the funding proposal, but must still apply for each program and agree to the terms prior to award receipt. The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia.
“The Hay Group’s decision to expand and create 65 new jobs in our city is just the latest example in a long line of companies choosing to start, stay and grow in Philadelphia,” said Mayor Michael A. Nutter. “Philadelphia continues to grow jobs, reduce unemployment, and attract new businesses driven by a highly talented workforce, an increasingly competitive tax environment, and a city government committed to helping companies expand and hire in our city.”
