TIMCO Eyes North Carolina's Triad for Airplane Seat Manufacturing
06/07/2010
"We literally have looked west to east and are still looking," Kip Blakely, TIMCO vice president of sales and marketing, told the News & Record. "It's a great opportunity for our company. We very much want to bring the jobs to North Carolina."
Blakely added that the company is not currently asking for incentives, but that incentives are available in every state the company is considering.
TIMCO currently employs 225 people and will begin hiring for the new site in the fourth quarter of this year, mostly for manufacturing jobs.
Within North Carolina, the company is looking into locating in six different counties, and possibly even more. It has a site in Greensboro that has the capability to produce seats.
