Mazuma Credit Union To Build New Corporate Headquarters In Overland Park, Kansas
07/12/2013
The firm’s new 60,000 square-foot building will include a three-story atrium, a fitness center, a coffee bar and a community center. The building will also feature a backlit glass exterior and walkout terraces. Inside, it will contain a branch office with drive-up service.
“We’re growing, and our current headquarters no longer offers the space and infrastructure we need to expand,” said Brandon Michaels, president and CEO of Mazuma. “More importantly, we’re responding to the demand for services with the dramatic increase of members in Johnson County. We’re establishing a presence to better serve our members and expand services in that area.”
“Mazuma Credit Union is making a significant capital investment in the state,” said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. “The company’s decision to build its new headquarters in Kansas will greatly benefit our economy.”
“Doing it the ‘credit union’ way is something the city of Overland Park appreciates,” Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach said. “Mazuma’s presence will be an important component of the growth occurring along and near 135th Street.”
