OMP Mechtron To Locate $2.9 Million Manufacturing Campus In Gilbert, South Carolina

To meet increasing customer demand, OMP Mechtron, LLC is establishing a new facility at 4335 Augusta Highway in Gilbert. The 20,791-square-foot building will house the production of printed circuit board assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies and wiring.
OMP Mechtron, LLC is the U.S. branch of OMP Mechtron S.P.A., an Italy-based producer of mechanical parts. Established in 1987, the company’s product line includes subracks, rack cabinets, electronic integration racks utilizing printed circuit board assembly and waveguides used in mobile telecommunications. As a truly global firm, OMP Mechtron operates facilities in six different countries across Europe, Asia and North America.
“OMP is very excited to be part of this expanding market. With the help of Lexington County, the State and the workforce that is available, we believe that this will be a formula for success both for OMP and for the State of South Carolina,” said OMP Mechtron, LLC General Manager Alessandro Mari.
