Distribution Company Investing $200 Million, Adding 650 Jobs in Pennsylvania

08/03/2009
Warehousing and distribution services provider ES3 LLC will invest $200 million to expand its operations in Conewago Township, Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania governor's office. The company plans to create 650 new jobs and retain 1,700 current employees. New Hampshire-headquartered ES3, which provides services to manufacturers and retailers in the grocery industry, plans to add a 705,000-square-foot tower to its existing 790,000-square-foot warehousing and distribution facility. "We are grateful for the support of the Governor's Action Team in helping us develop what we consider to be the gateway to the Northeast," says Richard Wyckoff, a company executive vice president. "As one of the top wholesale distributors in the country, we have been in Pennsylvania for years, and this is the ideal place for us to grow and expand in response to the needs of our customers. From a superb labor force to an excellent infrastructure, this is the ideal location from which to grow." The state has offered ES3 a $2.86 million incentives package that includes a $1.3 million grant, $260,000 in job training assistance, and $1.3 million in job creation tax credits.
