09/01/2015
The company, whose brake products are marketed and sold to automobile manufacturers and specialized automobile mechanics, will establish it first U.S. presence in Gwinnett County. DuraMax’s 12,234-square-foot facility in Gwinnett will house the company’s Americas warehouse operation as the company expands its position into the brake systems industry in the United States and other global markets.
“The support of the local and state economic development organizations has been incredible,” said Yon Yu, President, DuraMax, Mira VC, Inc. “We look forward to becoming an outstanding member of the Gwinnett County community.”
“It’s a testament to Georgia’s strong manufacturing network when cutting-edge companies such as DuraMax choose our state to locate their new facility,” said Yoonie Kim, Senior Project Manager at the Georgia Department of Department of Economic Development. “DuraMax will serve as a magnet for suppliers that produce automotive parts for the company as well as strengthen our automotive supplier chain.”
Allan Anderson, Senior Vice President for Dexter Companies, LLC, is credited with assisting the company in leasing the new location. “DuraMax has secured an ideal space for its U.S. headquarters and R&D operations to service the Metro Atlanta market and the United States,” stated Anderson. “It was a pleasure to work with them as they seek to further expand their U.S. operations.”
“When companies like DuraMax select Gwinnett for their U.S. HQ and R&D testing operations, a powerful message is sent to companies around the world,” said Andrew Carnes, Director of Economic Development, Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development. “Gwinnett offers an incredible combination of assets for international companies to grow and expand.”
