JAC Products Creating 87 Jobs at Saline, Michigan, Auto Part Plant

JAC Products, an auto supplier based in Saline, Michigan, is expanding its work force by 87 employees, AnnArbor.com reports. The company will invest $6.7 million towards the project. The Michigan Economic Growth Authority (MEGA) board is expected to approve a nearly $573,000 tax credit for JAC.

"We're in a positive mode really in all of our locations as the industry continues to hopefully recover for some time to come," said Dan Smoke, chief financial officer of JAC.

JAC manufactures car roof racks at its Saline facility. The company considered expanding at its factory in Georgia instead, but selected Saline partly for the MEGA tax credits.
