Aerzen USA Expands Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Manufacturing Plant
09/22/2017
Founded in 1983, Aerzen USA is a wholly-owned division of the German manufacturer, Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH. Aerzen USA is a producer of positive displacement blowers, turbo blowers, screw compressors, and vacuum pumps.
The $7.5 million project will expand Aerzen USA’s current facility in Coatesville to better meet current and projected demand. This expansion will enable Aerzen USA to add 16 new jobs and grow its workforce to more than 110 employees at this location by the end of the year.
“The new building expansion provides more operational efficiency, and the ability to expand product lines and meet the customers’ needs,” said Ralph Wilton, Marketing Manager of Aerzen USA.
“Because it dares to view success as more than a singular challenge, because it a champion for innovation, Aerzen is a model company that fits perfectly into Pennsylvania’s growing manufacturing economy,” Economic Development (DCED) Executive Deputy Secretary Neil Weaver said.
“Just as Governor Wolf views economic development as a holistic process, Aerzen, too, has embraced a bigger challenge. Aerzen has built its success on proactive stewardship and developing its workforce,” he added. DCED has provided nearly $7,000 in WEDnetPA funding to Aerzen USA for job training in the past, and the company will further support the local workforce by launching an apprenticeship program for high school students next month.
