Fidlar Technologies Opens $4 Million Davenport, Iowa Headquarters

Fidlar Technologies, seller of land record software and services for local government, opened its $4 million headquarters in north Davenport, Iowa, at Research, Commerce & Technology Park just north of Interstate 80.

The company chose the Davenport location because it is close to the interstate, while still having plenty of space on a wooded lot where it could design and construct an eye-catching facility that would attract top-end IT-professionals, co-owner Dave Steil said.

Fidlar primarily hires IT-related employees, and offers the kind of competitive wages and benefits the City is hoping to attract in new businesses, said Mayor Bill Gluba said.

As an incentive the firm received a 60 percent TIF rebate over 15 years totalling $1.26 million from the city, $336,000 direct financial assistance from the state, and $63,000 sales and service-use tax from Iowa High Quality Jobs Program.
