Orthopedic Manufacturing Firm Will Invest $4.4 Million to Establish New Indiana Facility
09/30/2011
Precision Medical is a contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants and instruments, and serves customers across the United States. It currently employs 75 associates in the state. The firm plans to hire new machinists, CNC programmers and administrative associates next year for the plant.
"Having experienced the work ethic and local support in this area in the past, we are excited to be locating in Noble County and specifically Rome City," said Kurt Kamholz, president and co-owner. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Precision Medical Technologies, Inc. up to $450,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $35,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. The town of Rome City has granted property tax abatement.
Indiana Secretary of Commerce Mitch Roob noted that the Hoosier state's strong fiscal condition and high-quality work force continue to put it in a favorable position to compete for new investment.
