New Hampshire Bestows Job Training Grants To Nine Firms Throughout The State

Nine companies have been to chosen to receive New Hampshire Job Training Fund grants totaling $104,631. The companies, located throughout the state, contributed matching funds to train a combined total of 223 employees in new skills.

"I am pleased to announce this latest round of important grants that will help prepare New Hampshire workers for good jobs at growing businesses," Governor Maggie Hassan said. "New Hampshire's Job Training Fund is a valuable resource that has helped thousands of workers develop the skills and innovative thinking necessary for success in the 21st century economy. We must maintain our commitment to job training and higher education in order to ensure that our workforce is as highly skilled as possible to attract innovative businesses, help existing businesses grow, and create jobs that can support a strong middle class."

Firms awarded state job training grants are:

Ridgeview Construction of Deerfield, which will receive a grant of $8,430 to train nine employees in a variety of programs, including managerial and human resource skills and efficient-energy construction skills from four training providers: Cultural Chemistry, NSEA, Skillsoft and the Home Builders Association.

Portsmouth-based Next Level Now Inc. will be awarded a grant of up to $4,222 for training four employees in human resources and project management using Cultural Chemistry and Skillsoft.

Yankee Thermal Imaging LLC of Rochester will receive a Job Training Fund grant of $17,336.50 for training from Lakes Region Community College, Green Education Services, Everblue, Building Efficiency Resources, Cultural Chemistry, Skillsoft, and Manchester Community College to help nine employees develop a variety of efficient construction skills and human resource management skills.

A grant of $7,627.70 will be awarded to Burndy LLC of Manchester in order to train eight employees in human resource management skills at Manchester Community College.

Nashua’s J. Lawrence Hall Co. will receive a $3,442.50 grant for the Gould Construction Institute to provide HVAC training for up to six employees.

Conductive Compounds Inc. of Hudson will receive a grant of $5,250 for the North Haven Group to train six employees in new software JMP 11.0.

Osram Sylvania Specialty Products of Hillsborough will receive a Job Training Fund grant of $42,077 to train 167 employees in electrical safety, robotics, vision inspection training, emergency response, database training and other courses using 13 different training providers.

Cultural Chemistry of Manchester was awarded a grant of $2,970.00 for training four employees in payroll and human resource management using four training providers.

Cirtronics Corporation of Milford will receive a grant of up to $13,275 for sales training from Sandler Sales Training of Manchester for 10 employees.

The Job Training Fund has awarded $6,603,835 in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $9,236,836 for a total of $15,840,672 in new training for 19,784 New Hampshire workers, the Governor’s Office said.
