03/02/2011
Genesis Plastics Welding is creating up to 54 jobs in Fortville, Indiana, by 2014. The company, which provides contract plastics welding and manufacturing services, will invest more than $3.3 million in the expansion.

"Genesis Plastics Welding has been headquartered in Indiana for nearly 25 years," said Tom Ryder, company president and CEO. "We have continually invested in our employees, technology, equipment, and facilities to maintain our competitive edge in the global marketplace. Indiana has always been a significant contributor to our success. Through the years, we have benefited from the state's affordable and talented work force, pro-business policies, and central geographic location."

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has offered Genesis Plastics Welding up to $340,000 in performance-based tax credits. The town of Fortville will consider additional property tax abatement at the request of the Hancock Economic Development Council.

Genesis will add 50,000 square feet of production space, including a new ISO Class 7 Standard certified medical clean room, to its existing facility.
