Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated Opens $8.1 Million Customer Care Center In Charlotte, North Carolina
11/10/2015
“We are very excited about moving our Customer Care Center and expanding our operations in Charlotte,” said Coca-Cola Consolidated Chairman/CEO Frank Harrison. “This is a great, vibrant city with a long Coca-Cola history. We look forward to serving our customers and consumers from this new, state-of-the-art facility.”
Charlotte-based Coca-Cola Consolidated, the nation’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler, renovated a once-vacant warehouse and moved into the facility at the end of October. The Customer Care Center handles all incoming and outgoing customer calls – totaling 2.2 million calls annually.
Of the 2,000 Charlotte-based employees, 183 employees currently work at the Customer Care Center. Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated anticipates that the new facility will have a total of 300 employees.
“This grand opening is reflective of CCBCC’s dedication to serving Charlotte and North Carolina,” Governor Pat McCrory said. “CCBCC is not only a good employer, it is a good corporate citizen that cares about the people it serves.”
“Charlotte is fortunate to have Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated as one of its strongest corporate citizens. The company has a long and deep history in Charlotte, employing over a thousand people and contributing to the community on numerous fronts,” said Bob Morgan, President/CEO of the Charlotte Chamber. “This new facility underscores their strong commitment to Charlotte.”
