West Chester Protective Gear Relocates Headquarters To Gateway 75 In Sharonville, Ohio
11/07/2013
West Chester Protective Gear, which has over 120 full time employees, said it outgrew its current warehouse, distribution and office facility. The nearly 260,000 square foot Sharonville facility, owned by Neyer Properties, part of Gateway 75 in the Cincinnati area, will provide 60 percent more square footage and allow for future expansion.
“We are excited about the relocation of our company to the City of Sharonville and thank Neyer Properties and the Department of Economic Development for their support,” said Kyle Packer, CFO, West Chester Protective Gear. “Our mission is to provide exceptional products and services to our customers and our new headquarters will be strategically located to support enhanced global operations and continued business growth.”
West Chester Protective Gear is slated to move its warehouse operations to the new location in November 2013 with office operations fully relocated by June 2014.
“The Gateway 75 property offers a superior location with excellent access to I-75 and I-275,” said Chris Dobrozsi, Vice President, Real Estate Development, Neyer Properties. “The property is ideally situated for distribution, manufacturing and assembly tenants such as West Chester Protective Gear.”
West Chester Protective Gear and Neyer Properties said they worked closely with the City of Sharonville Department of Economic Development and the State of Ohio to receive significant incentives. The State of Ohio awarded the firm Job Creation Tax Credits. The City of Sharonville awarded the project a Job Creation Incentive Program in the form of a grant towards the company’s employees earnings tax. In addition, the city also awarded a forgivable loan that will be waived over a period of eight years, contingent upon the firm maintaining its committed payroll projections.
“West Chester Protective Gear’s announcement is another excellent example of Sharonville’s pro-growth, pro-business policies,” said Chris Xeil Lyons, Economic Development Director, City of Sharonville. “Sharonville is a great place to do business and we are aggressive in attracting top companies such as West Chester Protective Gear to our community.”
The relocation represents a great success for Neyer Properties and the City of Sharonville to bring a large, well known company and large employer back inside the beltway. West Chester Protective Gear’s tenancy will serve as a catalyst to stimulate more leasing and job growth in the remaining 720,000 square feet of space that is being marketed at Gateway 75.
