Green Fence Recycling Corporation Invests $2.5 Million In Mullins, South Carolina, Plant
12/28/2015
Established in 2014, Green Fence Recycling offers sorting, shredding and cleaning services for the recyclable plastics industry. Located at 3630 East Highway 76 in Mullins, the 65,000-square-foot facility is expected to be fully operational in February 2016. Representing the headquarters for the company, its Marion County facility will serve both the U.S. and China markets, focusing on the processing of mixed rigid plastics and polypropylene, as well as PET fines washing.
As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits, as well as a $100,000 grant to Marion County to assist with the costs of real property improvements.
“Green Fence Recycling is looking toward the future in Marion County and thankful for the assistance that the county and the State of South Carolina have provided. We recognize that our success depends on our employees, and we are confident we made the right decision in moving to Marion County,” said Green Fence Recycling Corporation General Manager John Parker.
“Team South Carolina’s approach to training an elite workforce and building a business-friendly environment continues to pay off with a growing, diverse economy that is providing opportunities for South Carolinians in every part of our state. We’re excited to welcome Green Fence Recycling to the South Carolina family and to see the impact that these 40 jobs will have in Marion County,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
