First Quality Home Care Products Plans Archbold, Ohio, Production Facility

Household cleaning products manufacturer First Quality Home Care Products plans to establish operations in Archbold, Ohio. The up to $300 million project is expected to create 400 jobs in Fulton County.

The investment will include the purchase and transformation of an existing building, located at Sauder Woodworking’s site, into a new manufacturing facility.

“The addition of a new Home Care Products location in Northwest Ohio represents an important step in building the long-term foundation for this division,” said Jim Dodge, Chief Financial Officer at First Quality. “Beyond increasing our capacity, this site will strengthen our ability to deliver the quality and value customers expect from First Quality.”

To support the project the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) approved a 1.601 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit.

State, local, and regional partners worked collaboratively to bring the project to Fulton County, including JobsOhio, the Regional Growth Partnership, and Fulton County Economic Development.

“I’m thrilled to welcome First Quality to Archbold, a family-owned business that will create 400 high-quality jobs, providing a significant boost to our local economy and supporting families throughout the region,” added Jim Wyse, executive director, Fulton County Economic Development. “This job commitment is the largest Fulton County has seen tied to a project in many years, and we’re excited to partner with First Quality as they build a brighter future here.”

First Quality Home Care Products is a manufacturing division of First Quality Enterprises, focused on producing private-label household cleaning and laundry products for major retail partners. The company manufactures items including laundry detergents, fabric softeners, dryer sheets, and automatic dishwashing packs designed for store-brand distribution.
