Nutramax Laboratories Expands Its Lancaster, South Carolina, Operations Complex
02/02/2016
Currently, Nutramax Laboratories operates facilities in both South Carolina and Maryland, and continues to be an industry leader in setting and adhering to high standards in research, manufacturing and quality control.
To service rapidly growing demand for its animal health products, Nutramax has purchased a 138,000-square-foot building, located at 1759 Flat Creek Road in Lancaster to expand its local footprint. The new facility will complement the company’s existing Lancaster facilities located at 946 & 851 Quality Drive. Hiring for the new positions began in 2015.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits as well as a Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to assist with the costs of the Company’s real property improvements.
“My Dad, Robert Henderson, founded the Company in 1992 and started with only two employees. We now have over 400 employees nationwide. We believe this shows there are still American success stories. Our company’s mission is quite simple: To serve the Lord and glorify Him using the gifts He has given our employees to research, develop, manufacture, and market products that improve the quality of life for people and their pets. We have a commitment beyond just investing in facilities and jobs in South Carolina. We want to continue to be a part of making Lancaster a great place to work and live, including providing support to local organizations that are in line with our Mission,” said Nutramax Laboratories CEO/President Todd Henderson, DVM.
“Since becoming a part of the South Carolina family in 2010, Nutramax Laboratories has been tremendous partner to our state and to the Lancaster community. Nutramax’s expansion and the 125 new jobs it will create here shows the company’s commitment to our people, and proves that Team South Carolina’s approach to taking care of our businesses and developing a world class workforce is paying off,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
