04/13/2010
IBM announced today it has opened its new $30 million manufacturing plant in Hudson Valley, New York that will produce mainframes and servers.

The new 56,000-square-foot plant was built inside an existing building on the company's 400-acre Poughkeepsie site. Operations will include producing the next generation of System z mainframe and high-end Power System servers.

No jobs are expected to be added to operate the facility, according to a news report at Manufacturing.net.
