04/22/2026
Starbucks plans to establish operations in Nashville, Tennessee. The $100 million project is expected to create up to 2,000 jobs.

The company’s new Southeast corporate office, located at Peabody Union, will support processes tied to coffeehouse expansion, supply chain coordination, and corporate functions.

“As Starbucks continues to expand across North America, Nashville gives us an opportunity to support that growth with great talent and proximity to our growing footprint in the Southeast,” said Brian Niccol, Chairman and CEO of Starbucks. “This city offers a strong workforce and community that aligns with our long-term vision.”

“This $100 million investment and the creation of up to 2,000 jobs underscore Tennessee’s strength as a destination for corporate growth,” noted Stuart C. McWhorter, Deputy Governor and Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD). “We appreciate the collaboration that made this project possible.”

“TVA is excited to welcome Starbucks to Nashville. Working in partnership with Nashville Electric Service, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, the Nashville Area Chamber and Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County furthers our shared commitment to supporting economic growth and creating jobs in the region. Starbuck’s establishment here represents impactful investment and the creation of quality job opportunities for the communities we serve,” added Heidi Smith, vice president of economic development, TVA

“This announcement further defines Nashville as a top destination for major employers,” said Jeff Hite, Chief Economic Development Officer of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Starbucks’ decision reflects the region’s workforce, quality of life, and ability to attract global companies.”
