Spanish Ingeteam Builds Milwaukee Wind and Solar Facility
05/26/2010
"We believe the North American market represents a strategic opportunity because of expectations for growth in wind and solar power," said Aitor Sotes, Ingeteam CEO. "Ingeteam is strongly committed to renewable energy, and having a U.S. facility will better enable us to serve customers in the U.S. who are already using our equipment on wind farms."
The 100,000-square-foot facility, expected to be complete by the end of 2010, will manufacture generators and converters for 1.5 megawatt to 5 megawatt wind turbines. It will also produce solar power inverters for residential and commercial use.
