U.S. Manufacturer to Move 111 Jobs to Wisconsin as Part of $10 Million Consolidation Project
09/23/2011
GFS is the world's leading manufacturer of paint booths and finishing systems for industrial coating and finishing, automotive body shops, aerospace finishing, and truck and large equipment finishing.
"It's a very positive move for us," said GFS President Rick Binder. "This investment allows us to consolidate manufacturing operations resulting in a significantly higher level of production efficiency, quality, and improve our ability to provide exceptional service to all of our customers."
GFS is eligible for up to $600,000 in economic development tax credits from the state of Wisconsin. Binder said these credits will enable the firm to provide extensive training for production staff, and help cover a portion of the costs of relocating this manufacturing capacity.
