Baxter Enterprises-Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering Establish Oconee County, South Carolina, Manufacturing Center

To accommodate the new Oconee County operations, the companies will be moving into a new 87,000-square-foot facility within the Oconee Industry and Technology Park, located off of S.C. Highway 11. The companies anticipate Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering’s operations to comprise 17,500-square-feet of the new facility.
Specializing in single point management from conception to launch, the companies are recognized as leaders in the plastics and tooling industries. With complementing operations and a common family ownership, Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering, which was founded in 1982, designs, builds and repairs molds and provides mold services, while, Baxter Enterprises, which was founded in 1997, manufactures injection molded parts.

We are excited to join the Oconee County community and look forward to serving our customers in the Carolina region at our new facility,” said President/CEO of Baxter Enterprises and Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering Robert Schulte.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $200,000 grant to Oconee County to assist with the costs of real property improvements. Job development credits were also approved for this project. “We’re thrilled to celebrate both Baxter Enterprises and Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering and their decision to join the South Carolina family. This investment of more than $20 million means 87 new jobs for our Upstate community, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch them grow and thrive for many years to come,” said Governor Nikki Haley.
