GEO Plastics Selects Charlotte, North Carolina, for East Coast Plant

GEO Plastics, a maker of blow and injection molded plastic parts, has selected Charlotte, North Carolina, for a new production site. The company will occupy a more than 57,000-square-foot facility that formerly housed Jackson Tube.

"GEO Plastics selected Charlotte because of its healthy business environment, proximity to customers, and competitive shipping point," the company wrote in a press release.

GEO, which is based in Los Angeles, selected Charlotte for its East Coast access, reducing freight costs and competitive pressures.

The company expects to create 15 jobs in its first year in Charlotte, with later expansions already planned.
