HMS Mfg. Plans Injection Molding Plant in Little Rock, Arkansas

The purchase of this facility allows HMS Mfg. Co. to expand their manufacturing, assembly and warehousing capabilities. This expansion is part of HMS Mfg. Co.’s goal to incorporate emerging technologies as part of its growth strategy. The new facility will have state of the art injection molding processes.
HMS Mfg. Co. expects to create around 90 new jobs within the next two years. HMS Mfg. Co.’s strategic expansion in Little Rock will integrate cutting-edge manufacturing practices that align with corporate growth plans.
“The partnerships we formed at the local and state levels show how excited this community is to work with HMS Mfg. Co.,” said Janet Sofy, President of HMS Mfg. Co. “Based on increased business, strong customer relationships and our three-year strategic plan, we decided to move forward with this major expansion.”
“I am pleased to welcome HMS Mfg. Co. to the Port of Little Rock, along with the major brands they produce and distribute worldwide,” said Governor Asa Hutchinson. “HMS Mfg. Co. will bring value to the area and continue to diversify our economy. This is a company I called on the first day of my second term to invite them to Arkansas, and I am glad they are coming."
“One of my priorities is to provide good-paying jobs for the hard-working citizens of Little Rock,” said Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. “HMS Mfg. Co. will be doing just that at their new facility in the Port (of Little Rock) and we are grateful to them for choosing Little Rock.”

Co. is in an industry that we are aggressively targeting,” said Melissa Hendricks, Chair of the Little Rock Port Authority. “The Port of Little Rock employs nearly 5,000 people, and we are excited to add HMS Mfg. Co. to a growing number of companies that are creating even more job opportunities in the Port.”
