ContiTech Expands Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Production Operations

ContiTech USA, part of rubber and plastics manufacturer Continental AG, plans to expand its operations in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. The $85 million project is expected to create approximately 50 jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a new compounding center that features production, warehouse, and office operations.

“At ContiTech, this investment allows us to better serve customers through improved efficiency and faster response times,” said Andreas Gerstenberger, CEO of ContiTech USA and head of Business Area Industrial Solutions Americas. “It also reinforces our operational capabilities and supply chain resilience.”

The project is being supported by a $1 million forgivable loan and tax benefits through the High Quality Jobs (HQJ) program.

ContiTech USA produces air spring and anti-vibration systems, coated fabrics, conveyer and drive belts, hoses and more.
