The investment will include the lease of 560,000 square feet of industrial space and new machinery and equipment. Operations are scheduled to begin in 2027.
“Expansion outside of our home state of Wisconsin is critical to provide a dependable supply chain for our growing customer base,” said Sam Thomas, President of Robinson Inc. “This site is conveniently located near Interstate 80, a major supply route for our customers in the energy sector.”
To support the project the state will award $1.2 million through the High Quality Jobs Program. Additionally, the city of Altoona is providing industrial property tax abatement and a 100% tax increment financing agreement for 15 years or until a total value of $25 million is reached. The city is also investing $9 million in road and infrastructure improvements.
Robinson Inc. manufactures custom enclosures for companies in the energy, power generation, food processing, heavy equipment, paper, oil, gas and defense industries.
