Fluortubing USA Expands Its Campbellsville, Kentucky, Manufacturing Center

Netherlands-based Fluortubing USA, a plastic tubing manufacturer for use in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, plans to expand its operations center in Campbellsville, Kentucky. The company is expanding its operation in Taylor County to include an extrusion tower and resin mixing rooms to manufacture pipe.

Currently, Fluortubing imports pipe from its parent company in Europe and processes the tubing to increase its strength and durability. Producing the pipe in-house will significantly decrease shipping costs. The expansion will create 10 full-time jobs and a nearly $800,000 investment.

“Fluortubing is very excited about this expansion in Campbellsville – not just for the company itself, but for the community as well,” said Fluortubing General Manager Ryan Emmerling. “While working with local and county officials, Fluortubing has found doing business in Campbellsville to be quite appealing. The tax incentive program offered by the state of Kentucky has helped to make this project financially feasible, allowing us to move forward more quickly and with more financial stability. Fluortubing believes in the people of this area and we look forward to being a valuable addition to the community.”

“This is a perfect example of a small business flourishing in Kentucky,” said Gov. Beshear. “In seven years, Fluortubing has grown from a distribution warehouse with two employees to a self-sustaining manufacturing operation that supplies hose liners to companies around the world. Small businesses are the backbone of Kentucky’s economy, and I want to congratulate Fluortubing on its success.”

To encourage the investment and job creation in Taylor County, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $150,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets. Taylor County has been certified by the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board as a Work Ready in Progress Community.

“It’s wonderful to see Fluortubing move forward with their expansion into manufacturing. It validates their confidence in our great local workforce,” said Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young. “This project is a welcome addition to our local economy.”
