Stord Expands Hebron, Kentucky, Warehouse Operations

Cloud supply chain company Stord plans to expand its operations in Hebron, Kentucky. The more than $40 million project is expected to create approximately 500 jobs.

The investment will include an additional 525,000 square feet of Class A warehouse with an additional second floor of 8,772 square feet for future expansion.

This investment brings us greater ability to service current and future customers while pushing the boundaries of what is possible for DTC brands.”

To support the project the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved a 10-year incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based agreement can provide up to $2.3 million in tax incentives based on the company’s investment of $41 million and annual targets of: creation and maintenance of 539 Kentucky-resident, full-time jobs across 10 years; and paying an average hourly wage of $32.32, including benefits, across those jobs.

By meeting its annual targets over the agreement term, the company can be eligible to keep a portion of the new tax revenue it generates. The company may claim eligible incentives against its income tax liability and/or wage assessments. In addition, Stord can receive resources from Kentucky’s workforce service providers. Those include no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job-training incentives.

Stord provides integrated e-commerce tech and high-volume fulfillment for brands with its software (OMS, WMS, TMS) and network for warehousing, shipping, and returns, managing the entire customer experience from cart to post-delivery for companies like AG1, Native, and True Classic.
