Quality Solutions Group Invests $1.5 Million To Expand Sevierville, Tennessee Operations Center
04/29/2013
QSG supports businesses by providing lean manufacturing, custom built crates and pallets, and dunnage washing. The expansion will add an additional 34,000 square feet to the existing 38,000 square foot facility located in the John L. Marshall Technology Park in Sevierville. Once construction is complete, the company will shift focus and include light manufacturing in the new space, according to state economic development officials.
“QSG decided to expand our current building instead of going out of state because Tennessee has been very business-friendly and the workforce is excellent,” QSG President Tom Burns said. “We have been able to expand the business because of the opportunities in this growing area and with the help of the business communities around eastern Tennessee.”
“Helping incumbent business compete, grow and thrive in Tennessee is a foundation of our economic development strategy,” Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty said. “When companies like QSG continue to find success in our state, it is a testament to Tennessee’s business-friendly environment and quality workforce. I appreciate QSG’s decision to expand and further invest in Sevier County and its citizens.”
“We are very pleased to hear about any company in Sevier County that is expanding,” Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters said. “QSG has been a big part of our industrial base for several years, and we are certainly excited for the capital investment in our community and the new jobs for Sevier County families.”
“QSG is an outstanding company providing many jobs for Sevier County residents,” Allen Newton, executive director, Sevier County Economic Development Council, said. “This expansion and capital investment is very good news for our community. We are very appreciative to the state of Tennessee for their assistance with training dollars to be used for the new employees.”
