Franklin Well Services Relocates Headquarters To Downtown Vincennes, Indiana
06/03/2015
The new headquarters will be home to the company’s executive management team as well as its sales, accounting, legal and human resources departments. The company will relocate to a vacant 35,000-square-foot building, which was previously a department store, at 400 Main St. Franklin Well Services has already started transitioning employees and equipment from Illinois to its new location, with plans to complete construction by the end of summer.
“We have been fortunate as a company to have significant growth in our industry and based on this growth, we began exploring the necessity of relocating into a centralized corporate headquarters,” said Don Jones, President of Franklin Well Services. “This journey brought us to Vincennes. Here, we can offer our employees the quality of life they expect, which will benefit our business recruitment and retention needs. The Vincennes community and the state of Indiana provide a business environment where we can continue to grow and prosper.”
As an incentive, Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Franklin Well Services up to $3,800,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Vincennes will consider additional incentives at the request of the Knox County Development Corporation.
Franklin Well Services, a family-owned business, has provided services for improved extraction of gas and oil for more than 30 years. The company, which is a sister company of independent oil producer Pioneer Oil Company, is currently the largest provider of well stimulation, cementing and drilling fluids services throughout Illinois, Indiana and western Kentucky.
“Indiana’s reputation continues to draw businesses like Franklin Well Services across state lines,” said Governor Mike Pence. “With our focus on cutting red tape and our low cost of business, Indiana is a state that companies can rely on to help provide the highest return on their investment and offer the best opportunity for accelerated economic growth.”
