Berlin Packaging Expands Division Warehouse Hub in Lockport, Illinois

Berlin Packaging, the world's leading supplier of plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures, continues to add to its more than 6 million-square-feet of warehouse space with the opening of a new facility in Lockport, Illinois.

The facility has been designed for for Freund Container & Supply, its division focused on convenience quantities of packaging and industrial supplies. The state-of-the-art, newly-constructed 305,000-square-foot warehouse expands total space available for the division, while continuing to ensure the same operational excellence and exceptional service, including a 98 percent same day ship rate.

Conveniently located near I-80, I-55 and other major Midwest transportation hubs, the new location allows for cost-effective delivery as transportation rates continue to climb and capacity tightens, company officials said.

Freund Container also operates dedicated warehouses in Nevada and Georgia, in addition to working with Berlin's coast-to-coast North American network.
