09/10/2018
Building one will comprise 1,104,289 s.f., with 36' clear cross-dock facilities and dedicated parking for 228 trailers. The second building will be designed at 732,000 s.f., and feature 36' clear cross-dock facilities, with dedicated parking for 162 trailers.
Anthony Rozic, CEO of Goodman North America said, "Newberry is located within one of the premier industrial real estate markets in the US given its affordable cost of living, large labor pool, and high consumption of goods within its own boundaries.”
“In addition, Goodman Logistics Center Newberry's location means that it offers strategic access to 40% of the nation's population while offering freeway frontage for customers," Rozic added.
According to company officials, located adjacent to Exit 35 and fronting Interstate 83, Goodman's latest development provides strategic access to the Port of Baltimore, New York / New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. The new site offers customers a unique opportunity to build a modern logistics warehouse to suit their needs, in this premium location.
Construction for both on-site and off-site infrastructure has now commenced, and the site will be ready to start building by December 2018. With construction due to complete in the third quarter of 2019.
The campus will also feature 134 additional trailer parking stalls for either building and an ESFR sprinkler system and LED lighting.
Goodman Logistics Center Newberry is one of a number of projects in Goodman's current US$2.6 billion development pipeline, which will provide 18.3 million square feet of Class A logistics space in the key logistics and industrial markets of Inland Empire, Greater Los Angeles, Northern New Jersey, Lehigh Valley and Central Pennsylvania, company officials said.
Over the last twelve months, Goodman has completed 5.5 million square feet of Class A development product in these key logistics markets, with a further 1.9 million square feet currently under construction.
