Construction Begins On Midwest AgEngery’s $155 Million Biorefinery In Jamestown, North Dakota

Midwest AgEnergy Group, an upper Midwest biofuels enterprise owned by Great River Energy, started construction on its new $155 million biorefinery that will produce ethanol, distillers grains and fuel-grade corn oil. The biorefinery, to be built in the Spiritwood Energy Park east of Jamestown, North Dakota, will produce 65 million gallons of ethanol annually, 198,000 tons of distillers grains for livestock feed and 6,900 tons of fuel-grade corn oil for use in biodiesel.

MDU Resources Group and Calumet Specialty Products Partners Begin Construction On North Dakota Prairie Refinery

MDU Resources Group, Inc. and Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. began construction of the Dakota Prairie Refinery, on a 318-acre site located west of Dickinson in Stark County, North Dakota The refinery, which is expected to cost between $280 million and $300 million, will process 20,000 barrels per day of Bakken crude oil. It is estimated the facility will employ 400 to 500 employees during peak construction and about 100 employees when it is operating.
