Israeli Tech Company Atomation Moves Headquarters To St. Louis, Missouri
02/02/2017
Incorporating a mobile device and cloud-based analytics, Atomation 's signature product allows users to connect any product via Bluetooth technology to the internet, allowing users to pull analytics and monitor progress from connected items.
"It was my honor to welcome a great new business to Missouri yesterday," Governor Eric Greitens said in a Facebook post Saturday. "We're fighting to bring more jobs with higher pay from around the world to our state."
GlobalSTL, an initiative of BioSTL that recruits high-growth international companies to set up United States headquarters in St. Louis, worked closely with Ameren to recruit Atomation to St. Louis. The company plans on developing a pilot program for Ameren that connects utility poles to the internet by installing sensors on dozens of Ameren’s utility poles. The sensors will help Ameren remotely monitor the integrity and health of the poles, which will allow the company to pinpoint issues in real time and respond more quickly and efficiently to any problems or customer concerns.
GlobalSTL focuses on companies that match St. Louis’ strengths in the energy, plant science, healthcare, and cyber security sectors. Atomation is the latest of a string of Israeli companies recruited to the region.
