Aircraft Maintenance/Repair Firm to Generate 150 Jobs in SC Thanks to $1 Million Investment
01/02/2012
The aircraft maintenance and repair company operates 130,000-sq.-ft. of facilities at Myrtle Beach International Airport (e.g., hangars, back shops and a paint shop). It provides engineering, maintenance planning, technical services and field support to aircraft companies around the world with the assistance of Indaer, a leading aerospace firm.
President Mike Hill said Myrtle Beach gives AvCraft a centralized location which will help it "efficiently" reach its customer base. "Horry County officials and the Myrtle Beach Regional EDC made expanding here a very easy process."
The company received $100,000 for capital improvements from the South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development, and $100,000 from Horry County incentive funds via the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation.
