American Tubing, Inc. Plans $3.2 Million Expansion Of Its Springdale, Arkansas, Manufacturing Facility

American Tubing, Inc., a producer of copper assemblies and components for use in the air conditioning and refrigeration industries, plans a $3.2 million expansion its of Springdale, Arkansas, operation center to include the production of aluminum assemblies and components.

The company is constructing a 20,000-square foot addition to its Ford Avenue plant to house the aluminum production equipment. When completed, ATI will have 80,000 square feet of manufacturing area for both copper and aluminum.

“We are extremely excited about this new product line,” said company president Chuck Lewis. “We have worked closely with our customers for the past two years to be ready for production in 2014. Since 2008 business has been somewhat flat. Growing and innovating is what we do best. It’s good to have too much to do again.”

Once the addition is complete, American Tubing expects to add 50 new employees, a 31 percent increase for the manufacturer with an estimated annual payroll increase of $1.35 million.
