ActiveCampaign Expands Indianapolis, Indiana, Operations Center
02/28/2019
To accommodate its growing team, ActiveCampaign will invest more than $10 million in its Indianapolis operations over the next several years.
According to Indiana Economic Development Corporation, ActiveCampaign will continue to operate at 55 Monument Circle for now, and is actively looking for a more permanent space as it is quickly expanding in Indianapolis.
Pending approval from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation board of directors, the IEDC will offer ActiveCampaign up to $6.2 million in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis supports the project at the request of Develop Indy, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.
"Central Indiana continues to develop its reputation of fostering a thriving tech community that helps to attract new businesses like ActiveCampaign,” Governor Eric J. Holcomb said. “As a state, we’re investing in innovation to further strengthen our entrepreneurial ecosystem and in skilling up our workforce to ensure that this growing tech community will have access to a strong and sizable talent pool for years to come.”
“Indianapolis opens up a ton of opportunities for ActiveCampaign with great marketing technology talent,” said Jason VandeBoom, Founder & CEO of ActiveCampaign. “As we’ve grown so quickly, we knew the Indianapolis marketing technology ecosystem and its local talent would be a great place for us to continue our expansion. Last year, we welcomed Indianapolis-based CTO, Tony Newcome, and we’re looking forward to welcoming new team members to help us scale the ActiveCampaign platform to continue to give small businesses the tools they need to create great experiences for their customers.”
“Marketing technology has a home in Indianapolis,” said Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. “Companies like ActiveCampaign recognize the amazing talent Indianapolis provides, and as one of the fastest-growing cities for digital job growth, we are living up to our moniker of the tech capital of the Midwest. We applaud ActiveCampaign for their success and hope our community will play a significant role in their future growth.”
