AML RightSource Expands Buffalo, New York, Operations
03/23/2022
The company will expand its 20,000-square-foot office on the 27th floor of Buffalo's tallest building, the Seneca One Tower.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for AMLRS, the City of Buffalo, and the State of New York. With the ever-present threat of financial crime on both a national and a global scale, it is the perfect opportunity for AMLRS to create new jobs for recent graduates and professionals alike,” said AML RightSource CEO Frank Ewing.
New York State, through Empire State Development, will provide up to $7.4 million in Excelsior Job Program tax credits in return for AMLRS achieving its job creation commitments. These performance-based incentives will allow the company to expand operations, adding to the 175 jobs already created by the company in Buffalo through their previous Excelsior Job Program.
"Western New York's talented workforce and growing reputation as a hotspot for tech innovation first attracted AML Rightsource to the City of Buffalo,” added Empire State Development Acting Commissioner and President & CEO- designate Hope Knight. Now the company is doubling down on its investment, creating hundreds of new jobs for New Yorkers in the high-growth and increasing important field of financial crime investigations."
In late February, Governor Hochul announced the creation of a Joint Security Operations Center to serve as the nerve center for joint local, state and federal cyber efforts, including data collection, response efforts and information sharing. JSOC is the nation's first-of-its-kind cyber command center that will provide a statewide view of the cyber-threat landscape and improve coordination on threat intelligence and incident response.
"The reasons AML RightSource originally expanded to Western New York, our hardworking people, growing innovation economy, affordability, and more, all ring even more true today. We're so excited to see AML RightSource's success in Buffalo Niagara and look forward to working with the team on continued growth,” said President & CEO, Invest Buffalo Niagara Tom Kucharski.
AML RightSource is the leading firm solely focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and financial crimes compliance solutions. The company provides highly-trained AML/BSA professionals to assist banks and non-bank financial institutions to meet day-to-day compliance tasks.
