Lon Offenbacher, president and CEO, said the new facility will support the company's commitment to being an industry leader providing innovative, high quality, well-crafted products for automotive and commercial vehicle interiors. It also will help Inteva strengthen its "global growth prospects," he added.
In addition to the Vandalia Technical Center, Interior Systems--one of Inteva's four global product lines--has technical centers in Seoul, Korea, and Wuppertal, Germany. Inteva Products employs more than 8,000 people in 18 countries. In the United States, the Troy, Michigan-based company has operations in six states: Alabama, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas.
"With global expansion in front of us, this is an exciting time for Inteva Products and for the Interior Systems team," said Pat Stewart, Inteva's VP and executive director of Interior Systems. "Inteva has a great heritage and legacy in Ohio."
